The weather has been appalling since I purchased the Fuji X100F so I have only used it three or four times locally. On two of these occasions I've visited the derelict Aust Ferry site just south of the Severn Bridge. The ferry stopped operating when the bridge opened in 1966.
The building is quite overgrown now, but as you'll see from my photographs it is possible to pick out a few original fixtures such as the turnstiles (one at the front and one almost hidden in the undergrowth near the rear), coat hooks and even the urinal and broken up toilets.
Bob Dylan fans will be interested to know that he was photographed outside the terminal in 1966. The photo was used to promote Martin Scorsese's film 'No Direction Home'. Click on the link in this text for more details of the ferry and to see the Bob Dylan photo.
